Other manufacturers use the blind stitch, which curls into the seam and lifts off the dash. In addition, small pieces can not be sewn together because you need at least 1/4" margin (the two flaps on the bottom of the stitch).

Awesome dash cover. It was exactly as I expected. A few hours in the sun and it laid down just fine. We didn't have to use the velcro strips that were included. I give this product a 5 star rating. I like how it looks stays on without using the velcro strips and doesn't slide off when my lead foot hits the gas on my hemi. The vents and speakers on dash are open and look great. I love the look and protection it gives from sun and scratches. Over all, I'm very pleased.
