Driving safely gets attention with lighted exterior rearview Signal Mirrors from Muth Mirror Systems. Flashing LED
chevrons alert drivers in your blind spot of your intention to turn or change lanes. This allows you plenty of time to reduce the chance of an accident. Ideal for towing boats or RVs.
Muth Mirror uses high-intensity LED lamps to turn ordinary exterior rearview mirrors into safety features that command attention. When a turn signal is activated, a flashing chevron appears in the corresponding side mirror to alert drivers in the blind spot of your intentions. When emergency hazard flashers are used, both mirrors flash warning signals. The mirrors function as conventional rearview mirrors when the signals or hazards are not activated.
Surrounding drivers see a bright, attention-getting display. The driver of the vehicle equipped with Signal Mirrors sees only a subtle, telltale display—a reminder that the mirror is activated. Electronic sensors automatically adjust the signal intensity so that the chevron display is brighter during the day and dimmer at night.
Blind Spot
Every year, there are over 200,000 lane-change and merging traffic accidents. Over 200 of these accidents result in fatalities. Signal Mirrors are positioned at the eye level of adjacent drivers, making them more noticeable than conventional taillights. With many taller vehicles on the road, a turn signal from the taillght may be hidden. The signal from the side mirror may be the only visible indicator to drivers two or three cars back.

Reaction Time
Signal Mirrors use LED lamps that illuminate 1/5 of a second faster than conventional incandescent taillights, providing drivers in the blind spot vehicle an additional 17 ft of reaction distance at 65 mph.
The installation procedure varies for each kit. Professional installation is recommended. Heated Signal Mirrors are available with some retrofit kits. Please check the retrofit kit listing for specific vehicles and model years. Unlike other accessories that soften an accident, Signal Mirrors actually may help prevent one.
