Jeep Wrangler History

historical data of the Jeep Wrangler SUV, manufactured
by Daimler Chrysler, was retrieved from many sources. This is only a brief overview of certain important events in the
history of the Jeep Wrangler. The Jeep Wrangler was released for
public use in 1987.
The YJ models of the Jeep Wrangler were sold through 1995
and was replaced by the TJ models in 1996.
In 1992, the roll cage was extended and in 1993 anti-lock
brakes we added as well. 1994 saw an optional automatic
transmission added. TJ models rolled out in 1995 as did the
Jeep Wrangler Rubicon in the year 2003.
