The GMC C/K was first introduced in 1987 as 1988 models.
The C stands for 2WD models, while the K stands for 4WD.
The GMC C/K was available as Fleetside Single Cab, Fleetside Extended Cab, Fleetside Crew Cab, and Stepside Single Cab.
In 1991, GM introduced the C3500HD.
In 1994, the 6.2L diesel V8 was dropped.
In 1996, the Vortec V8s were introduced.
The GMC C/K 1500 models were replaced in 1999 by the all new Sierra, and the GMC C/K 2500/3500 were reproduced until 2000.
