Constructed of high-grade materials, each PowerStep features an extruded aluminum step with a textured black powdercoat finish for maximum grip and durability as well as high-strength, anodized die-cast aluminum-alloy linkage arms coated with Teflon to resist corrosion. Precision, zero-maintenance stainless steel pivot pins along with weatherproof, OEM quality electric motors and wiring harness with sealed weather-tight connectors ensure each PowerStep will provide years of flawless performance. With a 600 lb load capacity per side, each PowerStep utilizes an AMP designed electronic controller that employs pressure-sensitive, pinch-proof safety technology.
