The first generation Chevy Camaro debuted in September 1966.

The Chevy Camaro was built on the GM F-body platform.

The second generation Chevy Camaro started in 1970 and lasted until 1981, with cosmetic changes made in 1974 and 1978.

The second generation Chevy Camaro was larger and wider than the original edition.

Road and Track magazine picked the 1971 SS350 Chevy Camaro as one of the ten best cars in the world in August 1971.

The third generation Chevy Camaro was produced from 1982 to 1992.

The third generations Chevy Camaro were the first Camaro’s to offer modern fuel injection.

The fourth generation Chevy Camaro debuted in 1993 on an updated F-body platform and lasted through 2002.

The current Chevy Camaro debuted in spring 2009 as a 2010 model year vehicle.

On April 1, 2010, the Chevy Camaro was named the World Car Design of the Year at the World Car of the Year Awards.
