| The following
historical data of the modern Chrysler 300, manufactured
by Daimler Chrysler, was retrieved from many
sources. This is
only a brief overview of certain important events in the
history of the Chrysler 300. The modern Chrysler 300 was
initially shown at the New York Auto show in 2003 as a concept
car and started production in 2004 as a 2005 year model.

In February of 2005 Chrysler gave the world the first
SRT-8 model of the Chrysler 300 which sported a 6.1L Hemi.

In the year 2006 Chrysler launched the Heritage Edition
for the 300C with a 5.7L and extra chrome accessories; it
was the first Chrysler to tout Smart-Beam headlights.
An Extended Wheelbase version of the Chrysler 300 became
