KC HiLites Daylighter 6" Driving Light
Introduced in 1972, the KC HiLites Daylighters are perhaps the most recognized and asked for name in off-road lighting. The Daylighter not only uses a heavy-duty rubber gasket bulb holder that isolates the lens, reflector, and bulb from the housing and elements of weather, but it also includes KC's patented shock mounting system.
The KC HiLites shock mounting system was developed as a way to isolate the lamp unit from the mounting bracket or surface to which the light is mounted. This system successfully reduces lamp failure due to vibration and has been proven through the extremes of off-road racing. This proven system has now been updated from the original to require no extra drilling for installation.
Driving lights are designed to supplement your high beam headlights. Their candlepower, approximately twice that of your headlights, coupled with a rectangular beam pattern, produces a light pattern that reaches further than high beam headlights. They also provide wider side lighting to help see things that are near the roadway such as children or animals.
